Stateland recently held an out of town trip together with its entire workforce last May 1, 2015 at Camaya Sands, Mariveles, Bataan. One natural beach, which boasts of creamy white sands that is almost comparable to the best beaches in the country. Mayo Uno, or “Araw ng Manggagawa”, is a holiday celebrated for workers. To reward its hard-working employees, Stateland thought of taking its employees up North for a one day break from its usual trips to the South. The committee head, Ms. Sharon Yap, can’t thank Stateland Family enough for giving their full participation during activities both in the bus and in the venue itself.
Assistant to the President, Ms. Tyrine Chua, led the opening prayer to formally start the program. SVP for External Affairs, Mr. Bienvenido Uy, delivered his welcome remarks as he greeted all the attendees. Also part of the SMC who were there to show their support were SVP for Sales and Marketing, Ms. Delie Chua, and VP for Manpower and Comptrollership, Ms. Carolyn Chan.
Everyone was in a bright mood taking pictures and selfies everywhere. Despite the heat of the sun, everybody cooperated all throughout the day. Of course, the summer outing isn’t complete if the people didn’t unwind under the sun, got a tan during the games, took a dip in the infinity pool and be delighted by the lunch buffet. And they all did! They made use of the amenities during their free time and it was great! All four teams were competitive and eager to win, however, only one team was declared the winner. Hence, Team VSL emerged as the Over-All Champion. The event was a display of camaraderie and sportsmanship. It was worth all the sweat and effort poured in it by the people who made the activity possible. As one family, SLI thanks God for making the activity not only successful, but also safe, fun, and memorable for everybody. Again, to God be the Glory.
